The work presents general spatial mathematical models of airship motion, equations of longitudinal and lateral motion, mathematical models of steady-state motion, aerodynamic forces and moments of inertial nature acting on the airship, added masses and added moments of inertia of the airship, determining the dynamics of unsteady motion. The issues of calculating steady-state motions, analyzing perturbed motions, stability, and controllability of the airship are considered. The results of solving problems of the dynamics of an airship pulled to the ground by a rope are presented. Two extensive examples of studying the problems of flight dynamics of a small and large airship are considered. Most of the issues of airship flight dynamics considered in the work are presented in scientific literature for the first time. The work is intended for scientists, engineers, and postgraduates.
