The issue of increasing cutting efficiency during milling through monitoring the vibration of the cutting tool is investigated. The paper proposed a specialized device for monitoring cutter vibration during surface milling. The device's functionality is based on the ADXL377Z 3-dimensional accelerometer which records the vibration signal of the cutting tool and bluetooth technology, which transmits the signal. The ADXL377Z accelerometer was chosen for its ability to withstand external impacts and provide high reliability. A prototype of the device has been manufactured, tested, and ready for use in studying the effect of vibration on cutting quality during milling.
