Abstract In 1981, Jean Morlet, a geology physical scientist of France, proposed the concept of “wavelet analysis” in the data processing of geology the first time based on the comparison of Fourier transform and Gabor transform. Overcoming the limitation of Fourier transform, wavelet transform can decompose the signal in the time-frequency domain together and had rapidly attracted a great many attentions in the application area.
