A statistical design approach of an ad-hoc fixed-structure controller in the stabilization loop of a single axis gyro-stabilized platform, that allows adjusting for main disturbances acting on the stabilization loop, was presented. A script in Python language computerizing the optimal design procedure was developed and applied to the mathematical model of the single axis gyro-stabilized platform.
