In this paper, the active disturbance rejection controller is used to control the longitudinal dynamics of a hypersonic flight vehicle due to its non-linearity, strong coupling, and the uncertainty of its aerodynamic parameters. Firstly, the hypersonic longitudinal dynamic is established and decoupled into the velocity subsystem and the altitude subsystem using output feedback. Secondly, the auto-disturbance rejection controller is designed for each subsystem respectively. Then, the parameters of the active disturbance rejection controller are further optimized by the improved sparrow search algorithm to solve the problem that there are many parameters of the active disturbance rejection controller that need to be adjusted by expert experience or trial. Finally, the simulation results show that the active disturbance rejection controller with optimized parameters has good robustness and control performance.
