This paper reviews the key factors in task offloading decision-making in the Heterogeneous Vehicular Networks (HVNETs), analyzing the impact of core elements such as computing capacity, storage capacity, network heterogeneity, vehicle mobility, and task types on task offloading decisions. The article also discusses the progress of existing research, existing problems, and future research directions, to provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for task offloading optimization in the HVNETs.
