In order to meet the requirements of Rostechnadzor for unloading the supplying substation CPS-11 different technical solutions were considered, which were then implemented in practice. For this purpose, a mathematical model of the power supply scheme of the CPS-11 substation was developed. Calculations of normal modes of operation of electrical equipment CPS-11 have been made in order to determine steady-state parameters of the substation CPS-11 at changing: power of compensating devices, the power factor of synchronous motors, the use of backup synchronous motors as reactive power compensators, modes of operation of sections of the switchgears. The mathematical model takes into account the operating synchronous motors, type and mode of operation of the excitation system. Calculation studies were performed for the following cases: separate operation of 35 kV transformers, parallel operation of 35 kV transformers and during preventive maintenance on one transformer. The calculation of economic effect from the introduction of additionally installed capacitor banks was performed in this work.
