Abstract A technique for evaluating the preferential usage of one or the other engineering decision is presented; for this, the objective function that represents the comparative profit of future GTP owners from realization of alternative power plant variants is used. The efficiency of the approach being proposed is shown by analyzing the possible modifications of the Siemens GT10C and GTX100 gas turbine plants operating in the Russian Federation.
