This research provides an overview about how Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or drones a market that is evolving even at the present time, their history, applications and some of the challenges that are affecting in different parts of the world. The report explores the vantage points of next-level UAVs, the potential academic ramifications, and the ever-changing global commercial drone industry.
The course covers UAV simulators in great detail, which are crucial in R&D. This study is a comparison of two software, DJI Drone Simulator and SimPro Drone Simulator, and features and uses of both of the software has been elaborated in this study. It also discusses several open-source simulators such AirSim, Ramos’s airship simulator, SIMSAT, and Thompson’s aircraft/control system simulation facility for testing and training of autonomous vehicles.
