The acceleration potential is one of the most important ingredients in the derivations of the doublet lattice method. This chapter introduces the small perturbation acceleration potential and the relationship it has with the small perturbation velocity potential. This relationship is crucial in the definition of the kernel that appears in the integral equation of the Doublet Lattice Method.
