Abstract Using the data from multiple temperature and pressure measurement points, high and low pressure indication and high-speed exhaust measurement devices on a turbocharged automobile diesel engine as a basis, a new transient capable 0D/1D model for the prediction of nitric oxide formation in diesel engines is developed.
