As the rapid invention and innovation has been performed in the automobile sectors, the modern vehicles are supposed to perform communication through heterogeneous technologies. In this process, the modern vehicles should be able to commutate tremendous amount of data and information within their neighborhood. To incorporate these requirements of modern vehicles, the conventional VANET are emerging to the Internet of Vehicles (IoV). In this chapter, we intend to contribute in review of routing protocols of the IoV. We will classify different type of routing protocols based on different parameters (information based, topology based, position based, delay based, target network). We will also discuss the challenges of routing protocols and future direction. This chapter ought to guide and motivate researchers of IoV to develop efficient routing protocols.
