With the rise in fuel prices and the hazardous emissions produced by burning fossil fuels in traditional cars, the use of clean energy in the transportation industry has drawn a great deal of focus during the past two decades. Electrical vehicles (EVs) emit no greenhouse gas, and hence, they are a potential alternative to internal combustion engine (ICEs) automobiles. Therefore, a practical battery management system is indispensable for ensuring the safety of passengers. This paper has developed a battery management system varying the load for EVs. The simulation results are validated by MATLAB/Simulink simulation. The battery characteristics are studied.
