An efficient algorithm for analyzing the stress concentration in locally loaded shells with a controlled error is proposed based on the V.Z. Vlasov general moment technical theory for a class of problems limited by the possibility of the Fourier method of separation of variables. The algorithm is implemented by studying the stress concentration in a locally loaded spherical shell used in space tugs.
