This chapter contributes to the behavior analysis of signed networks consisting of agents with mixed first-order and second-order dynamics. To capture the mixed-order dynamics of agents, two different signed digraphs are leveraged, which however results in nonidentical topologies of signed networks. A new class of sign-consistency problems also emerges in characterizing the sign patterns of signed networks. By resorting to a Lyapunov-based analysis approach together with an M-matrix-based analysis approach, it is shown that when considering signed networks subject to sign-consistent nonidentical topologies, the bipartite consensus (respectively, stability) can be accomplished if and only if the union of two signed digraphs is structurally balanced (respectively, unbalanced). By comparison, signed networks can always be guaranteed to realize stability in the presence of sign-inconsistent nonidentical topologies. Three simulation examples are provided to demonstrate the convergence behaviors observed for signed networks under different classes of nonidentical topologies. Note that the mixed-order signed networks can be regarded as a specific class of dynamic signed networks under some certain transformations. This chapter may provide a significant extension to the disagreement behavior analysis results of dynamic signed networks in Chap. 11 by concerning directed topologies.
