Abstract A method for determining the hydrogen percentage in titanium alloys is considered. Changes of work function, density, and friction coefficient in the hydrogenated specimens make it possible to suppose that the triboelectric potential will also undergo certain variations under friction. A mathematical model of multiple triboelectric potential regression is proposed on the basis of experimental data. Also given is the block diagram of the installation developed by the specialists of Kazan Motor Production Association.
