Abstract Atmospheric turbulence is an atmospheric disturbance that frequently encountered during the course of the flight, which affects ride comfort and flight safety and one cause of fatigue damage of airplane structures. This article conducts a research on the modeling and simulating technology of the wind field, and analyzes Dryden model and Von Karman model which are existing at present, we used the better Von Karman model of atmospheric turbulence to simulate in high frequency range, to simplify the model and solve the time-domain decomposition problems, which satisfied the demands of real-time systems at last. Finally, we applied model application into flight simulator to validate the correctness of the model further, besides, to provide important reference for flight training and flight simulator design.
