To derive the general equations of motion of translational flight in the planet-fixed frame from first principles in a systematic fashion. These equations govern the flight of all aerospace vehicles (airplanes, rockets, spacecraft, and entry vehicles).
To present three-degree-of-freedom atmospheric flight models, including planetary form, rotation, aerodynamics, and propulsion.
To simulate the important atmospheric and transatmospheric trajectories with detailed analytical insight into airplane flight, rocket ascent, and planetary entry.
