The cockpit display system is provided aiming to assist pilots’ task accomplishment and to improve the pilots’ situation awareness and performance. Large Screen display have been widely used in the cockpit of civil aircrafts, which provides the possibility to provide more information display at one time while brings greater challenges to the display information integration design. Dual-operator cockpit is normally adopted in the civil aircraft currently, while each pilot takes different task in flight operations. This paper discussed the shared tasks in the cockpit, and based on the individual task allocation, task accomplishment related information is collected and categorized according to the nature of individual data or data set. And then a general display arrangement and management principle is summarized based on the data categories. A typical cockpit display management solution is analyzed compared to the pilots’ tasks. Based on the pilot task analysis baseline, more effort can be carried out to improve the cockpit display system performance.
