In the framework of a UAS autonomous flight mission in UAM operations, it is important to identify a safe area for landing manoeuvres, to avoid potential conflicts with people, other vehicles, or structures. Developing autonomous landing systems is the greatest challenge; DAA systems, performing environment recognition during the take-off and landing phases, or during navigation, by means of on-board sensors or by acquiring information from a ground station which could send safe paths to the vehicle, are of great importance and usefulness.
