In order to meet the demand of high output power and high voltage, a series-connected 12-pulse rectifier based on the isolated transformer with symmetrical windings is proposed. The working principle of the rectifier is analyzed, the equivalent circuit model of the rectifier is established and the capacity of the isolated transformer is calculated, the basis for equipment design is provided. The simulation results show that the rectifier can realize the function of 12-pulse rectifier, and the output voltage and output current are constant in the steady state operation. In addition, because of the symmetrical structure of the transformer windings and the Z-type windings can balance the leakage inductance, the input voltage step wave in the simulation is consistent with the theoretical derivation of the 12-step wave, and the topology has strong robustness.
