Micro/nanorobot swarm inspired by collective behaviors in nature represents an emerging research field. This chapter provides a brief explanation of the concept of micro/nanorobot swarms, followed by some examples of representative work in this field. The magnetic field-driven micro/nanorobot swarms are first highlighted, which are divided into three types according to the difference in internal dominant interactions: magnetic field induced, medium induced, and weakly interacted. In addition, other types of external field-driven micro/nanorobot swarms and their general principles are also introduced, including light driven, acoustic field driven, electric field driven, and hybrid field driven.
