The development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and systems in Ukraine was one of the key industries with a large historical legacy and significant potential for further growth. Analyzing the historical aspects, it can be noted that Ukraine has deep roots in the aviation industry, which serves as a basis for modern UAV developments. Aspects of the UAV development in Ukraine and their role in the military operations of the war between Ukraine and the Russian federation are considered. Modern UAVs are an important element in military operations and play a significant role in ensuring safety and comfort in civilian applications. The use of UAVs for infrastructure monitoring, environmental control, goods delivery, and services increases the quality of life and contributes to urban infrastructure development. An important component of success is the role of education and science, which ensure highly qualified personnel training and contribute to the development of the technologies. Scientific research and international cooperation open new horizons for Ukraine's integration into the world scientific community and the UAV market. The issue of certification is critical for ensuring safety, compliance with international standards, and entering global markets. The UAV development in Ukraine has all the prerequisites for successful growth – to realize this potential, active support from the state, development of educational and scientific bases, regulatory policy improvement, and integration into the international market are necessary. This will allow Ukraine to take a worthy place among the countries in UAVs and contribute to innovation in global processes.
