Abstract The aerodynamic design of airfoil should have optimal performance on a wide range of operating conditions. The requirements of airfoil design are often conflicting. Although there exists many studies on direct and inverse design of airfoil, less attention has been paid to simultaneous consideration of multiple conflicting objectives.
