Transportation is one of the most critical issues affecting the livability of cities. In recent years, micromobility has emerged as an alternative solution to the transportation problem of many cities. The increase in private vehicle ownership, traffic congestion, travel time, emissions and energy consumption in Turkey and worldwide indicates the necessity for the widespread use of micromobility vehicles. Although the A’WOT technique has been used in various fields in the literature, no study has been found on transportation systems. This study aims to assess the potential of micromobility in intelligent transportation systems in Turkey with A’WOT analysis. Data were collected from 5 experts. The findings show that strategy documents for ITS have been created in Turkey, but the strategies for micromobility are insufficient. Furthermore, integrating micromobility vehicles with different transportation modes is a significant opportunity, and inadequate micromobility infrastructure and lack of driving safety are main threats.
