In order to improve the safety and efficiency of maritime transport and enhance the protection of the sea and marine environment, it is inevitable to use modern information and communication technologies to collect, store, process, present and distribute relevant data and information to all relevant participants in maritime transport. Key factors contributing to the success of the information and communication infrastructure are the ability to meet the changing needs of users and the ability to adapt to new technological developments without the need for continuous restructuring, provided that you keep up with the fast development of information and communication technologies. This paper presents key issues related to navigation systems, communications networks and information technology and their applications in ensuring the safety of maritime transport and development business performance for the transfer and traffic of goods in seaports with high efficiency and impact on the national economy.
