Abstract The mathematical models (MM) of aircraft aerodynamic loads in terms of aerodynamic derivatives are reviewed. It was shown that the novel MM including an ordinary linear differential first-order equation makes it possible not only to describe the unsteady effects at the near-critical angles of attack more adequately but to solve the problem of dividing the aerodynamic derivative systems for a wide class of load-carrying systems with a sufficient accuracy.
