Accurate recognition of the target’s current tactical maneuver is one of the prerequisites for air combat decision-making. It is an effective method to divide the target track into different segments and recognize the different segments separately. In this paper, the type recognition of piecewise maneuver based on fuzzy neural network is tried to realize. Firstly, the idea of “centerline estimation” is used to propose a method to establish the recognition coordinate system. Then the normalized method is used to preprocess the track to solve the randomness and uncertainty of the flight track. In order to deal with the problem of irregular maneuver track, the track with different overload sizes is collected to produce training samples, which makes the neural network recognizer robust. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
