The dynamic analysis of continuous beams mounted Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) under the moving vehicles is presented in this paper. The model of the moving vehicle is the sprung mass to consist of a mass of vehicle and wheel. The finite element method and dynamic balance are applied to discrete the beam structure and establish the governing equation of motion of the system. The property matrices of the system are established to describe the interaction between the beam, moving vehicle, and TMD with all components of the vehicle inertia forces. The equation of motion of the vehicle - beam - TMD system is solved by using Newmark’s algorithm. The numerical results show that the behavior of beams is significantly dependent on the speed of vehicles. In addition, the influence of the parameters as frequency and mass of TMD on the dynamic response of the beam is also investigated.
