Abstract The mechanical performance of truss core structure is analyzed. The out-of-plane compression and shear stiffness is estimated. The relative truss core density versus height-length ratio of a sandwich cantilevered beam being bended is revealed. The results of numerical calculation of relative truss core density for rational sandwich cantilevered beams with different types of truss core are presented.
