In this paper, an attempt is made to carry out the direct numerical simulation of the laminarization process of a developed turbulent flow in a pipe. Several configurations of laminarization devices are considered. Using one of the devices as an example, the possibility of forming a laminar flow downstream from this device is demonstrated. The observed flow turns out to be different from the Poiseuille flow, which is characterized by a parabolic velocity profile. It is shown that the flow downstream from the device under consideration is characterized by zero values of the turbulence kinetic energy production and dissipation rate.
