Transport and logistics are important as they underpin China’s modernization, support the new development paradigm, and anchor people’s pursuit of better lives and shared prosperity. In 2022, China’s transportation and logistics sector fully adopted the new development philosophy and further implemented strategies set out in the Outline for Building China’s Strength in Transportation and the Guidelines on Developing a Comprehensive Transportation Network. This chapter analyzes the transport and logistics development in China in 2022 from four perspectives: roadway, railway, waterway, and airway.
