The development and application of new energy points out the forward direction to coordinate the relationship between economic development and environmental protection better and realizing sustainable development. Especially the power industry, with the new energy power generation technology more and more mature, its utilization form is no longer limited to new energy power generation system and grid connection, but more and more tend to be fully and nearby consumption. Due to the geographical environment, there is a phenomenon that railway lines and new energy bases are interlaced in China. For example, Qinghai-Tibet Railway and Lanzhou-Urumchi Railway pass through wind energy resource-rich areas rich. Therefore, based on the nearby consumption of wind resources, a scheme is proposed that wind power generation system is accessed to traction power supply system, and wind power and electric power system together to supply power to traction load in this paper. Firstly, the principle and characteristics of wind power generation are analyzed. Then, combined with the structural characteristics of the traction power supply system, from the theoretical level, the mode of wind power generation system accessed to the traction power supply system is proposed. Finally, the influence of wind power on power quality of electric power system is analyzed, including harmonic distortion, three-phase unbalance, voltage deviation and power factor.
