The magnetic couplers are regards as the essential part of the inductive power transfer system. Electric energy is transmitted between the transmitter and the receiver coils through a certain distance (the air gap). The purpose of the research on magnetic couplers is to achieve high power and high efficiency in power transfer while using less material and taking up a relatively small area. Meanwhile, the designed magnetic couplers should be able to maintain robust when the relative position of the transmitter and the receiver coils changes.
