In order to suppress the second harmonics of the DC side of the traction converter of hybrid EMU and improve the power density of the system, a control strategy of active power decoupling was studied in this paper, which controlled the switch action of the bidirectional DC/DC converter by real-time detection of the DC bus voltage. Firstly, the topology of traction converter of hybrid EMU is modified, and then, based on the modified topology, the second harmonic suppression principle is analyzed and studied. Then the scheme of obtaining the command value of decoupled capacitor voltage is studied, and the voltage and current double closed-loop system is designed to control the decoupled capacitor voltage. Finally, simulation and experiment are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
