Cycling alongside motorized vehicles poses significant risks of fatal accidents and injuries for cyclists. This paper introduces a novel solution: a smart helmet system designed to address these challenges and prevent mishaps. The system leverages integrated sensors for data collection, real-time data processing for analysis, and communication modules to deliver comprehensive safety solutions for cyclists. At its core, the system features an ESP-32 microcontroller, an MPU-6050 accelerometer for accident detection, and an ESP-32 CAM module for rear-view functionality. Additionally, turn-by-turn navigation is facilitated through haptic feedback (RMT-16) and LEDs. The primary objective is to create a unified ecosystem that seamlessly integrates various technologies to enhance cyclist safety, connectivity, and convenience on the road.
