When a train is delayed at the departure station, the arrival time of subsequent trains may be affected and need to be adjusted. In this paper, aiming at the scenario of the initial delay of the train, taking the minimum total delay as the objective function, considering constraints such as departure interval, arrival interval, and overtravel interval, a train operation adjustment nonlinear integer programming model is established, and the GA-PSO algorithm is designed to solve the problem. Taking Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway as the case background, the operation adjustment scheme under different initial delay duration is explored. The experiment verifies the rationality and efficiency of GA-PSO algorithm. The research results can provide decision support for railway operator when the initial delay occurs.
