Abstract A method for optimizing feeds of a five-axis machine by the minimal labor intensity criterion in machining monoimpeller blade passages for longitudinal and transverse trajectories of the annular tool motion is described. It is shown that there is no point in transverse machining in connection with abrupt variations of feeds and frequent tool braking and acceleration.
