Abstract Dynamics of an axisymmetric gyrostat satellite moving in the central Newtonian force field along a circular orbit is investigated. All equilibrium positions of the gyrostat satellite in the orbital coordinate system are determined, and the sufficient stability conditions of equilibrium positions are derived.
