Current research is devoted to marine port digitalization. Digital transformation affects all fields of human activities – maritime transport and marine ports are among them. Implementing information and cyber systems into them can reveal hidden potential and possible points of growth. The first and probably the most important step for building an integrated information system for marine ports is to formalize the processes taking place there. The accuracy with which such functional models will be developed will determine the quality of the entire information system. A multileveled functional model for the digital marine port framework will determine integration seams, input/outputs for cybersystems, etc. Based on such results marine port digitalization roadmap can be developed and launched. The current article presents the first step of the conducted research. It contains a brief literature review, ideas and main goals, and science methodology. The results are presented as functional models for supposed digital marine ports, and requirements for the digital marine ports framework.
