A study on the long-term analysis on the effects of security initiatives on EU seaports is needed to fill the research gaps which have been identified. This chapter focuses on the CSI and its implications for EU container seaport competition. A conceptual model and five conceptual assumptions are developed to assist to achieve the aim and objectives.
