In other work by these authors1 it was experimentally found that with a helium circulation rate of over 0.5 1/min internal to a cooler, the outgassing process inside the cryocooler is as intensive as it is under a high vacuum. During 20 years of theoretical and experimental outgassing studies2,3,7 we have also found that the outgassing rate in the diffusion mode is quite reproducible. Using these results, an accelerated cryocooler test method for cryodeposit failures has been developed and experimentally validated. The proposed approach allows the required test time to be reduced by a factor of 20 to 50.
