Abstract In order to improve the commercial vehicle ride comfort, a virtual prototype model of the vehicle based on ADAMS/View was established and random road excitation was used as input in the following simulation. To solve the abnormal vibration of the vehicle, the damping of shock absorber and the parameters of cab suspension system were optimized. At last, the correctness of the optimization was verified on a test vehicle.
