The level of vehicle intelligence in China is developing from L2 to L3, and there will be a traffic environment with different levels of intelligent vehicles and regular vehicles for a long time. As the intelligent connected vehicles join regular vehicles and appear on roads, the characteristics of traffic flow will be changed accordingly. At the same time, it is necessary to test the feasibility of the existing intelligent intersections control strategy for congested flow or a state of low density of the mixed traffic flow. In order to optimize the traffic control and design more reasonable, it is necessary to analyze the elements of traffic system and traffic flow characteristics under mixed traffic environment. A traffic flow model under the mixed traffic environment is established based on the data collected from driving simulators. Cellular automata is used to simulate the relationship between flow, speed and density under different traffic conditions and different permeability of intelligent connected vehicles, and the experimental results could provide data support for intersections control strategy under the mixed traffic environment.
