Abstract In this paper, we describe some principles of construction, algorithms for data processing, and a functional scheme of the vortex sensor for aerodynamic angles and true airspeed measurements in subsonic flight vehicles. Also presented are some relations for determining the ranges of measurements and indicated errors of this sensor and its design peculiarities and advantages are considered.
