In modern urban rail transit systems, energy-saving optimization of driving strategies is becoming more and more crucial. This article proposes a coast optimization method based on an improved artificial bee colony algorithm named RR-ABC. In addition to energy saving, punctuality and comfort are also used to build the multi-objective optimization model. In order to get more realistic results, EBI (emergency braking intervention) protection is added to the optimization model. Different with classic ABC algorithm, RR-ABC performs better at local search and initialization. Finally, several simulation cases based on real data from Qingdao metro line 6 are made. The results show that the energy saving rate is 11.55% while meeting the requirements of punctuality and comfort.
