Spacecraft missions usually require precise operations under limited fuel consumption. In this chapter, for the short-range relative motion of on-orbit service spacecraft during rendezvous and docking missions, we will improve control accuracy, reducing energy consumption, and optimizing the travel distance through time-synchronized control. Finite-time and fixed-time-synchronized controllers are proposed to drive the relative attitude or orbit tracking error to the origin synchronously within the finite or fixed time. Time-synchronized convergence of all the state elements of the 6-DOF spacecraft is achieved, while the merits of shortening the travel length of the output and saving fuel consumption are revealed.
