Modern technological process automation means inextricably linked with using information technologies. The increasing of number of automated process control systems posits sharply the problem of providing information security at all levels of automation means functioning. Due to the presence of dynamically emerging threats to information security, specialists need to perform their modeling, then evaluate and minimize the negative consequences caused by threats. In this paper the author analyzes the obtained results of using the developed automated system for modeling threats to information security of automated process control systems, tested at various information infrastructure facilities. The analysis of the results is carried out on the basis of qualitative and quantitative estimation criteria obtained from information security specialists authorized to carry out the processes of modeling information security threats of the above-mentioned objects. In the framework of the analysis the author presents functional schemes and algorithms that describe general principles of an automated system functioning. In addition, the author fulfills a description of the existing methods and means of automating the processes of modeling threats to information security of automated process control systems in a formalized form and also presents their algorithms and functional schemes.
