With the exponential growth of numerous drone operations ranging from infrastructure monitoring to package delivery services, integrating UAS into smart city transportation systems has become a real task requiring radically new, sustainable (safe, secure, low environmental impact, and low life cycle cost) solutions. The worldwide GPS reference system provides the airspace framework and defined paths while also supporting GIS mapping. The concept application requires a series of research as drone trajectory (paths or corridor) tracking using an autonomous trajectory tracking control system, with autonomous conflict detection and identification, resolution, safe drone following, and formation flight choices, is all part of the idea application.
