Focusing on the problems of time-varying modality characteristics of solid rocket, a coupled-beam model is established. Based on the principle of bending stiffness, all rocket cabins and connection structures are equivalent to beam models. In order to reflect the consumption of solid rocket motor during flight test, a special double-beam model is applied to identify the weight properties of solid rocket motor, of which the densities are time-dependent parameters. The results of the theory analysis and flight test illustrate that the coupled-beam model can effectively identify the time-varying modality characteristics of solid rocket.
